Event Description:

What is the role of the liberal arts in fostering an environment where individuals can use their voices and act upon their strongly held beliefs and values in the classroom, through research and in the community? Giving Voice to Values (GVV) is an innovative approach to values-driven leadership development in business education and the workplace.

Rather than a focus on ethical analysis, the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) curriculum focuses on ethical implementation and asks the questions: “What if I were going to act on my values? What would I say and do? How could I be most effective?" The Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College, Haverford College and Bryn Mawr College, supported by the Mellon Tri-College Faculty Forum Program, are delighted to host a Public Lecture led by Founder of GVV, Professor Mary Gentile, who will help explore the Giving Voice to Values principles, curriculum and its relevance to our current challenging environment.

Faculty and students - Please note there will also be a Faculty GVV Workshop (03/23/17) and Student GVV Workshop (03/24/17) - free tickets also available through Event Brite.
