"Giving Voice to Values" Faculty Workshop
Start Date: 3/23/2017Start Time: 12:30 PM
End Date: 3/23/2017End Time: 2:00 PM

Event Description:

What is the role of the liberal arts in fostering an environment where individuals can use their voices and act upon their strongly held beliefs and values in the classroom, through research and in the community?

Giving Voice to Values (GVV) is an innovative approach to values-driven leadership development in business education and the workplace. Rather than a focus on ethical analysis, the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) curriculum focuses on ethical implementation and asks the questions: “What if I were going to act on my values? What would I say and do? How could I be most effective?"

The Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College, Haverford College and Bryn Mawr College, supported by the Mellon Tri-College Faculty Forum Program, are delighted to host a Faculty Workshop led by Founder of GVV, Professor Mary Gentile, who will help explore the GVV curriculum and its relevance to a liberal arts education environment.

Faculty Dining Room, Dining Center, Haverford College 370 Lancaster Avenue Haverford, PA 19041

Please note there will also be a Public Lecture (03/23/17 at 5pm in Swarthmore College) and Student GVV Workshop (03/24/17 at 11am Haverford College) - free tickets also available through Event Brite.
