America's Semi-Citizens: Immigration Politics in the U.S.

Event Description:

Immigration/Citizenship Talk followed by Aria-catered buffet! On Wed. 3/22 @4:30 PM, Elizabeth Cohen '95, Associate Professor of Political Science at Syracuse U.'s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, will give a talk entitled "America's Semi-Citizens: Immigration Politics in the United States."

Location: Lang Center for Civic & Social Responsibility (Keith Room) Afterward, there will be a buffet meal catered by Aria Mediterranean Cuisine of Swarthmore.

Professor Cohen is the author of the Semi-Citizenship in Democratic Politics (Cambridge) as well as The Political Value of Time (Cambridge, forthcoming). Those interested in her topic might consult her recent Politico essay, "Why Trump's immigration policies will increase undocumented immigration."

The event and meal precede the complementary, 7 PM panel on the sanctuary movement (SC 199).
