Event Description
First held in 1972, this annual boat race is a Swarthmore tradition! Students take to the waters of the Crum in watercraft of every kind—boats, rafts, pontoons—and anything else that floats. Students design and construct their vessels themselves using (mostly) recycled materials, and they try to stay afloat as best they can, often becoming soaked in the process. Join the spectators on the banks of Crum Creek by10:15 a.m. In case of inclement weather, please call (610) 957-6111 for cancellation information. |
